Admit Cards for IBPS Clerk Exam 2017-18 are released today by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). Candidates can visit the official site to download the same. The Registration for IBPS Clerk 2017 examination had begun on September 12, 2017 Tuesday and closed on October 03, 2017 (Tuesday). The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is set conduct the IBPS Clerk Exam 2017-18 at two levels; Preliminary and Main. The prelim exam will be conducted in the first week of December 2017 i.e. 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th and the Main on January 21, 2018. The IBPS conducts these exams every year to recruit the capable candidates for clerical posts in the banks (Participating Organizations) that participate in this recruitment program. Those students who score minimum qualifying marks in the prelim become eligible for the Main exam.

Candidates who will qualify in Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination. Depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2018-19 based on the business needs of the Participating Organizations and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organizations keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc. The validity for CWE Clerks-VII will automatically expire at the close of business on 31.03.2019 with or without giving any notice.

  • Visit the official site of IBPS here.
  • Search for the Click Here To Download Your Online Preliminary Exam Call Letters and click on the same.
  • On the new page, log in with your Registration or Roll Number followed by Password or Date of Birth (DOB) and download the same. (Remember your Registration No. and Password were generated at the time of registration and displayed on the screen. These were also sent to you immediately upon successful registration, by way of auto generated email acknowledgement, at the email address registered by you.)

Note: If you have delay in accessing the Card, know that Internet based Call letter download depends on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of Applicants trying to download the Call Letter at the same time etc. Therefore, if you are not able to download the Call Letter immediately, please retry after a gap of 5 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night. Candidates can visit the site and check out the results Keep in mind the results link will be LIVE till 7th of November, 2017 (Tuesday). The Institute selects the candidates on the basis of their performance in computer-based preliminary and Main exam and interview. The Preliminary examination for the Probationary Officer recruitment took place on 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th of October this year. The Participating Organizations for which IBPS recruits the candidates are Allahabad Bank, Andhra bank, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central bank of India, Corporation Bank, UCO Bank and Union Bank of India. Canara Bank aims to fill 1350 vacancies, Andhra Bank has 625 vacancies and UCO Bank is to recruit 500 plus candidates this year.

  • I.T Officer (Scale I) – Candidates should be an Engineering degree holder in Computer science/Information Technology/electronics and telecommunication/computer application.
  • Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) – Candidates must have a degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/Agro-Forestry.
  • Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I) – Candidate should have completed PG in Hindi with English as a subject till degree college. Alternatively he should have completed PG with Sanskrit with Hindi and English as a subject till Degree College.
  • Law Officer (Scale I) – Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Law. They also should be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.
  • HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) – Candidate should have completed PG degree. Candidates with PGDMA in HR/ Personnel Management / Industrial Relations can also apply.
  • Marketing Officer (Scale I) – Candidates must have completed their MBA /PGDBA with specialization in Marketing.

IBPS MT/PO 2017: Main Exam Cutoff Score And Interview Details

The Main examination for those who clear the prelims will be conducted on November 26, 2017 (Sunday).

The IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) preliminary exam is conducted on 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th of October. The Main examination for those who clear the prelims will be conducted on November 26, 2017 (Sunday). Those who clear the Main exam and get shortlisted will be invited for interviews that would be conducted by the banks (participating in the IBPS recruitment). The nodal banks in every state and Union Territories will receive assistance from the IBPS in order to co-ordinate the interview phase. Candidates to the post of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees in 20 participating banks will be selected by the IBPS solely on the basis of candidates’ merit in the prelims exam, Mains exam and interview. However, it is to be noted that the preliminary examination will be for the candidates to prove their qualification for the Main exam. Marks scored in the preliminary exam will not be considered for the final merit list. The weightage of the Main exam and interview in the ration of 80:20 will be taken into consideration for offering provisional allotment to the selected candidates.

Cut-off Score: Each candidate will have to get a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be selected for the interview round. Depending on the number of vacancies open, cut-offs will be determined and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Keep in mind that scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview. Marks obtained in the main examination only will be considered for Shortlisting for interview and also for final merit listing.

Interview Details

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Main examination for CWE PO/MT-VII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates should download their interview call letters from authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). (more)

Following is the step-by-step procedure of applying online.

  • Candidates are first required to go to the IBPS’s website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CWE Clerks” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CWE- Clerks (CWE-Clerks-VII)” to open the On-Line Application Form.
  • Candidates will have to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.

Candidates can apply online only from September 12, 2017 to October 3, 2017. Keep in mind no other mode of application will be accepted.
Before applying online, candidates should—

  • Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) and signature adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure III to this Advertisement.
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
  • Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.
  • Have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of Common Recruitment Process. IBPS may send call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person.
